The first mirrors used by people were developed in 6000 BC as is evident from archeological evidence retrieved about ancient Anatolia. They were made from polished obsidian which served as a reflective surface, it was made from a form of volcanic glass. Similarly polished stone mirrors from America have been found dating 2000 BC.
