    Fredrick Jackson Turner who was a United State's historian wrote the book 'significance of sections in American history'. It was published in the year of 1932 and in the same year the collection was nominated for Pulitzer Prize.

    Fredrick Jackson Turner was born on 14th November of 1861 in portage, United States. He was a teacher of the University of Wisconsin as well as Harvard University. Turner was profoundly influenced by his Wisconsin childhood. He discarded the principle that United States establishments could be founded mainly to European origins. Fredrick Jackson confirmed his theories of rejection of the principles of United States institutions in a series of historical essays.

    Turner emphasized the American character had been shaped by frontier life and the end of the frontier era, in 'the significance of the frontier in American history'. It was brought out in the year of 1893. Later he paid attention on socialism as strength in United States expansion. His works were collected and published in 'the frontier in American history', which was published in 1920.

    Fredrick Jackson Turner was died on 14th March of 1932 in San Marino in California.
