Why Do All Movies Have Errors And Goofs In Them?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The reason that ALL movies have errors in them is that it is a complex and difficult process of making movies, it takes a lot of people with limited time and limited resources.  It is easy for things to happen that aren't noticed at the time, from continuity errors (such as a guy moving left to right in a blue shirt and appearing in a pink shirt) or the boom appearing in the shot.  There are actually people who are paid to look out for this type of thing, including making sure that people stand where they stood before and look the same as they did when the performed the previous scene, two months ago!

I was most annoyed that the dubbing on the David Mamet film 'The Winslow Boy' is so horrendous I had to stop watching it, I know how it ends so I didn't watch it, which I hate as I am a big Mamet fan.
