Should A Buyer Always Check Out A Kitten Before Purchasing It?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

From a breeder's perspective, it is not particularly significant or compulsory to display his offering of pets (more precisely kittens).  However from the perspective of the buyer, it is a prudent practice to ask the breeder to show the kitten before formally buying it.  Because those breeders who hesitate in showing their cats or kittens definitely have some flaw with their pets for them display reticence in showing it to their prospective buyers.

Moreover those breeders who offer to show their cats and kittens just reflect their expertise in the knowledge of their pet offerings and furthermore have nothing to hide for the buyer to contemplate about.  Other than the knowledge and honesty dimension, a buyer should always consider the fact that breeders who are confident in their dealings with their customers have a more diverse and eclectic networking base that also deals with solving some problems that a buyer may have after buying the kitten.

I know it's up to you, but having purchased a kitten, and adopted two from the humane society, I would never purchase another animal, knowing others are being euthanized for lack of people to adopt them. I love all my pets, but those who came from the humane society just seem so much happier, and yes, even grateful to have a home.
