What Exactly Is The Situation Of The Kit Car Industry In Sweden?

In the technical scenario, the kit car industry has been brought to a surcease as kit cars are not empowered to be either used or manufactured in Sweden.  However there is an exception to this situation.  This exception involves the possibility that a large majority of the car components that are required for the car's assembly are sourced by the builder on a personal basis.  

This would enable such cars to be termed as amateur building vehicles when it comes to the prospect of registering the kit car.  It was in the year 1970 that a law was passed that required a mandatory crash test for cars.  Before this law was passed, Sweden had a booming automobile as well as kit car industry.  Most of the companies based their kit cars on the car design of the VW Beetle chassis.  However in the year 1982 amateur built vehicles were empowered in Sweden but by that time all the kit car companies had either disappeared or closed down.
