Crime is definitely bad for the society and communities as a whole. It makes people feel unsecure and as a result they become untrustworthy of everyone around them. The social peace and calm is disturbed and people begin neglecting each other especially their neighbors. Communities become disgruntled over the general state of affair of crime and their lives are disturbed.

Crime inhibits the safety of walks, children's safety, cost homeowners in replacing stolen things, repairing vandalism  etc.

On the other hand when crimes rock neighborhoods, Neighbors may make it a point to know each other, form neighborhood watches, make schedules to accompany children to buses, parks, or just playing outside.
It is unfortunate we have to live like this but we do and to make our lives as enjoyable as possible, it is up to the law abiding citizens to out smart the criminal who dare tread upon their homes and families.
