What Does It Mean When The Doctor Says Your Blood Is Thick?

Answer Question

Thick blood, which has lots of trickier medical names like hypercoagulability, Antiphospholipids, and Hughes Syndrome is where the blood is more viscous (meaning thicker and stickier) than normal. It's a clotting abnormality, usually. When one has that condition, it hinders the blood's ability to carry oxygen, absorb nutrtients and transport hormones throughout the body. It can result in nutritional deficiencies, hormonal deficiencies and result in a condition in which cells have a too-low level of oxygen.
