Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Risk assessment in public health is an experimental process under which researchers calculate the probability of harmful effects of human activity which may affect an individual or the masses. Risk assessment is usually done before the establishment of manufacturing and power plants, to calculate the chances and risk of human health damage.

A good example of risk assessment is the study done by the Food and Drug Association in the United States of America. They required all meat processing plants to produce meat which does not higher the risk of cancer in people you consume the meat. Risk is estimated on the bases of research and studies which may involve three or more steps. The first step is Identification of hazard, the second step is Chemical risk Assessment and the final step is Exposure Quantification.
