The paper size to be used depends on the capability of your printer. Generally, the printers support Letter size and Legal size papers. Letter size papers is 8.5 inches in width and 11 inches in height where as the Legal size is 8.5 inches in width and 14 inches in height. These papers size are commonly used in Laser printers and ink jet printers.

Some dot matrix printers support larger size of papers. The documentation (instructions manual) of the printers explains the sizes, types and quality of the papers. We must consult for actual size, type and quality of papers. Printers also support different sizes (like labels, envelops and etc).

For some printers the type and quality of the paper also matters. The photo printers use the specified paper types for printing. These printers can not print better on ordinary papers.

These papers can be found at any stationary item stores or computer parts and suppliers. We should prefer to use fine quality papers. The low quality papers may by harmful for the printer. We must not try to use hard pages (hard sheets) in the printer or we must not try to use the larger papers in the printer. They may be jammed in the printer and we may required to call technicians.
