What Do You Do If You Have A Disability?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

What is the extent of your disability and is it stated from a doctor or specialist?  A doctor needs to state you are disabled - 5%, 25%, 100% - then you apply for SSD (Social security disability) at your local Social Security Office.   They review your case and send you to their doctors - then they most likely will deny it (they usually do the first time around) and you appeal it and go for a hearing in front of a judge who examines your medical history and doctors reports and makes his decision.  If he denies it you just keep applying till you get it.
