    Alex P. Keaton was the main character on the popular 80s television series, Family Ties. To the bewilderment of his liberal, ontime-hippie parents, this teen from Columbus, Ohio, is an ultraconservative young Republican who idolizes Richard Nixon, sleeps with a picture of William F. Buckley Jr. over his bed, subscribes to the National Review, and regularly wears a suit and a tie. After high school, future yuppie Alex attended Leland College where he studied Economics. Once her graduated from college, he was offered and accepted into a Wall Street firm.

    This character was played exclusively by Michael J. Fox.

    Family Ties was a popular sitcom during the 1980s. It is about a typical family with typical problems. The show shows many different situations that could be encountered by an average person. The plot of this sitcom actually teaches us the values of hard work and dedication. It was a very popular show.
