I am sure you are correct, Jkoontz7. Even when it turns to sugar it can be revitalized by putting the open jar in some hot water until it goes back to it's original consistency.

You are correct. There was an Egyptian queen that was preserved in honey so the Pharoh could view her corps as it appeared the day she died.

It's honey, because it contains natural antibacterial agents. It's not uncommon for fantasy tales of immortality to have honey as part of the formula, as it's been put on wounds to stop them festering for thousands of years.

Yes I'm pretty certain it's honey too. I seem to recall reading that when they opened the Pharaoh's tombs under the Egyptian pyramids, they found jars of honey that were still edible after 3000 years !

That is honey, I have known that for a long time now, and am amazed that there are really not a lot of people out there that know this.

Sorry, Water does go bad. Fill up a small jar and let it stand let's say for a week. It will get slimy, will be filled with unhealthy bacteria and will be unpotable to drink. It will also produce a sicenkning smell.

I don't know what kind of quality the water around you has, but that does not happen to me.
