    East Rutherford is the name of a constituency situated in Bergen County, in the state of New Jersey, in the United States of America. As per the population census conducted in the year 2000, the borough housed a total number of 8,716 inhabitants. As per the Census Bureau of the United States of America, the region covers a total area of 4.2 square miles, out of which 3.8 square miles is composed of land and the remaining, that is 0.3 square miles, is composed of water.

    The Borough of East Rutherford was officially established on the 28th of March, in the year 1894, founded on the effects of a referendum which took place on the day before, and the region formerly called as Boiling Springs Township was dissolved. There was no actual modification in the borders of the region, however the name of the governmental as well as its type were altered.
