What Year Did The Vietnam War Begin And What Year Did It End?

The second Indochina war more popularly known as the Vietnam war was fought between the communist backed North Vietnam and the US and SEATO backed South Vietnam. It started in 1959 and the US troops finally withdrew in April 1975, ending the longest war in the history of USA. The Paris peace accord signed between Henry Kissinger and the North Vietnamese foreign minister indicated an end finally to the long struggle.
