    Does Bluestar Ointment Cure Ringworm?

    My daughter has two spots and friends say its ringworm and that bluestar ointment can be used to treat it.

    Blue Star Ointment states that it can be used to treat the irritations or symptoms of ringworm, but doesn't actually state that it will cure the fungus infection. So far as I understand, Blue Star Ointment is not an antifungal. It's primary ingredient is camphor which is more of an anesthetic or anti itch compound found in large evergreen trees in Asia.

    So, the bottom line is no, Blue Start ointment does not cure ringworm.

    What's an old fashioned remedy? Liquid chlorine, full strength vigorously rubbed on the fungal sight,it's inexpensive and it works! Then you can use the Blue Star Ointment to rub on the spot for the anesthetic moisturizing effects.
