Estimate The Combined Mass Of Ten Cobalt-59 Atoms?

How do I even go about solving this.

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    6.02*10^23 atoms of Co are present : 1 mol of Co
    Therefore, 10 atoms of Co makes up : 10*1/6.02*10^23
                                                          : 1.66*10^-23 mol of C

    Moles = Mass/Mr
    Mass = Moles*Mr
            = 1.66*10^-23 * 59
            = 9.8*10^-22 g

    This is the usual way for solving these kind of calculations although the answers seem a bit weird!
