Cherry Creek Park – This state park is a retreat for fishing, swimming, sailing and skiing The trails that meander through the park provide a quiet retreat from the city. Bikers, runners, hikers and roller bladders can be found. There is also camping and horse back riding and classes at the center.
Saddle Rock Golf Course – This nationally ranked 18 hole golf course is a challenge and is ranked on the top ten in the United States. It has large areas of native scenery and views of Colorado. In addition, there is wildlife in the area and it is certified an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
Aurora History Museum –A visit to this museum will give guests an insight into the history and culture of Aurora. There are also experiences about the environment of modern day life. There are constantly changing exhibits on a wide variety of subjects such as science fiction or motorcycles.
Plains Conservation Center – Over 1000 acres prairie are protected at the Plains Conservation Center which educates and nurtures. There are native plants and hands-on activities in the education facility and natural area.
