As a manager my philosophy (moral or whatever else it can be called) was to treat my employees like human beings and respect the customers.  If my people told customers they would do something, they did it.  It worked for me.

Simple and effective. I know they must have appreciated it more than some useless platitude. :)

Thanks, amore. I think my employees appreciated it, but my superiors didn't. I did it anyway.

Regardless of what company you work for, never forget, the most important product you're selling is yourself, therefore never decide against your character. Or like Thomas Jefferson put it " In matters of style swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock"

        Student as well,
If you would read your text you could make your own decisions on the question!!! This is how the question is asked in Unit 1 of the Ethical Theory and Business class.
