    What Can My Dog Eat?

My dog has been sick; took him to the vet. He has a collapsed larynx (apparently fairly common in older dogs). He doesn't want to eat even though he acts hungry. Any ideas what and how to get him to eat?

You might try doing some scrambled (well done/hard) eggs, nutritious and soft and slippery. He is hungry, I guarantee, it's just hurting him to swallow or he may not be able too yet. Did the vet say he would be okay? Then he probably will be. If he can't/won't eat eggs, then try giving him a bowl of LOW SODIUM or no salt added beef or chicken broth. Good Luck. Let me know how it goes.

I know a friend who's pet was sick and couldn't eat on its own so the vet had them feed their pet baby food with a squeeze tube thing like a needle is on. They just sucked the food up in the tube and started it right into the pets mouth, worked great and the pet made it through and is aok now.

You might want to try some boiled white rice and boneless chicken. Do not put any seasonings in with this. This usually always makes their belly feel better. The more bland it is the better.
