Do I Owe Money To My Relatives Estate?

ESTATE omg man! If you owe money well then you owe money. I hope your family doesn't hold things to you like others familys do.

It would be up to the probate court judge as to whether this is a legitimate debt and should be collected. As R says it is up to the family to some degree. Also it would likely have to be a legal document or public agreement before witnesses.

In a different light, if the family could truly benefit from the money you owe, then the right thing would be to take care of it (in my way of thinking) with the family after the estate is setteled so they benefit from you follow through.
