Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Former President Jimmy Carter has been writing books since the year 1975. His first book was called Why Not the Best? The book owed its title to Carter's commanding officer in the Navy Captain Hyman G Rickover one of the few people who immensely influenced Carter's life.

His most recent works have been the controversial Palestinian Peace Not Apartheid written in 2006, Faith and Freedom: The Christian Challenge for the World in 2005, and Our Endangered Values: America's Moral Crisis. The only other book the President wrote in the 1970s was A Government as Good as its People in 1977. The President wrote five books in the 80s and seven in the 90s. The Blood of Abraham, Everything to Gain, Negotiation: The Alternative to hostility, An Outdoor Journal and Keeping Faith are all books written in the 80s.
