Why Did People Start Agriculture Rather Than Hunting?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Because they could. It was easier, and a lot more consistent to grow and harvest crops, or keep animals as cattle then slaughter and eat them when they pleased, then having to go out and hunt everyday, with no guaranteed success. Domesticating animals also meant that other products such as milk could be obtained easier, making for a better and more varied diet.
