Is 150 Over 77 Blood Pressure Reading Considered High?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Yes, a blood pressure of 150/77 is high blood pressure. A normal blood pressure is 120/80. A blood pressure of 121/81 to 139/89 is called pre-hypertension. A blood pressure of more than 140/90 is hypertension or high blood pressure. A blood pressure will be considered  high if any one of the systolic or diastolic readings or both are above the normal limits. For example a blood pressure of 120/90 or 140/80 or 140/90 are also high blood pressure.
