Building Regulations was created to guarantee the safety and physical fitness of the people in and surrounding all kinds of buildings. It was issued for all those who wanted to initiate building projects. It is not a law but a code of conduct for people to adhere to. Since 1985, although the content remained almost the same, significant updates and modification was done in the 1998 edition. The printing of the first edition of the Explanatory Booklet regarding Building was done in January 2003.
Some of the changes in the Building Regulations in the 1998 booklet are as follows:
A more knowledgeable explanation of the Building Regulation was given out in detail. Significant information in question and answer format was also published on how different necessities may affect the building project. Detailed information about enforcement and contraventions of Building Regulation was also explained.
