How Can Going Green Affect The World?

I don't think my generation will see the effects.  I am in my 50's.  I would think in about 30 years (3 generations (10 years equals one generation)) that if we don't change our ways that we will only slowly destroy this world of ours.  It will become hotter then ever.  Pollutions will be out of sight.  We in America are trying to do something about it in almost every category their is.  In other countries few vehicles have pollution devices on their vehicles. You can see it on their buildings.  The white buildings are turning gray in color. There are too many things that need to be done and if people do not help, pretty soon we (people) will be the ones that become extinct.
