What Happened On The Lost Season Finale?

I guess you want to know about the Season 2 finale which was aired on June 7th 2006. For many people the season finale was more frustrating then enlightening as new characters were introduced and many questions went unanswered. It was as if the director made a complete plot for the next season rather than concentrating on ending season 2. In Desmond's flashback we are introduced to Penelope and her dad. In the finale episode we also learn that the plane actually crashed due to system failure and Desmond's boat was returned due to some electromagnetic charge. The map on the blast doors was made by Kevin and Locke was wrong about the numbers that were counting down. The main thing that we learn is that Calvin and Kevin is the same man and he was in the Army when Sayid was captured.
