A beaver is a large animal with a very furry texture. It is an inhabitant of water and normally makes its home by itself in a river or pool of water that is in close proximity to any woodland. There are two kinds of beavers namely the European beaver and the American beaver. The European beaver species is now relatively scarce. It is only found in parts of France, Germany and Scandinavia. On the contrary, the American beaver species could be spotted in myriad parts of North America including both the United States and Canada.

A strong, thickset animal of about 3 feet in length (that estimates to about 1 metre), the beaver has extremely strong jaws and sharp front teeth. The main function of the teeth is to cut the wood of trees before creating crevasses in them with their teeth. The beaver has a very broad tail, which is flat and acts as a rudder whilst the beaver is swimming. The fairy texture of the beaver's body is dark brown, thick and shiny- their fur is a major attraction to hunters, who kills beavers just to get hold of their fur.
