I Want To Become A Vet But I'm Only 12, What Can I Do Until High School?

I would read any thing and everything on vet medicine/animal care  and if you can volunteer at a local zoo for the feeding and care of the animals. Talk to a vet that is close to your house and maybe see if they will let you hang out around their clinic and learn by watching them do the different procedures. Get involved with a 4-H Club. Talk to your local vet as to when he or she might hire someone at the clinic. You might start at the bottom by cleaning and feeding the animal and work your way up to assisting the vet by the time you are in High School.
