What Is Small Cap And Large Cap?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Small cap in simple words refers to small companies. These are companies that hold small market capitalizations. The value out here is anywhere between $300 million to $2 billion. In other words it is also very much defied as companies whose market valuations rank between the largest 50 per cent and 80 per cent that are openly traded and whose mutual capitalization represents around 7per cent of the total market value.

In other words large cap refers to big companies. It generally holds the market value of over $10 billion. They hold the base with great histories of growth and dividend payments. However, today the definition is better known as a company worth $1 billion or more.
