Ferritin is a protein which is found in the iron storing cells. Ferritin test can tell the amount of iron in the body. Normal levels of iron in male are 12-300 ng/mL and in females, 12-150 ng/mL. Your levels of ferritin which are 2 indicate not enough iron in body which can be due to anemia, heavy menstrual bleeding and prolong bleeding from figestive tract. You should visit a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.
