There were quiet a few changes that were made in the Cabinet of President Bill Clinton's second term in office. Perhaps the most significant was that the Secretary of State was no longer Warren M Christopher, this position was now occupied by Madeleine K Albright. In 1999 Robert E.
Rubin who had been the Secretary of the Treasury for some time in both cabinets was replaced by Lawrence H Summers. The new Secretary of Defence was now William S Cohen, that of the Commerce was now William M Daley and later from 2000 Norman Y Mineta, and of Labour was Alexis M Herman. The other Secretaries who were new were Andrew Cuomo of Housing and Urban Development, Rodney E Slater of the Treasury, Togo D West Jr. of Veterans Affairs, and Federico F Pena (1997-98) and Bill Richardson (1998-2001) of Energy.
