Her very first challenge was to decide how she should move towards a narration that is all about flora and fauna, but is in soul a human story. She decided to narrate it by mixing masks and puppetry with live actors. She created huge masks that would represent characters, but left the human face uncovered below the mask to keep the actors' facial expressions alive. It took almost 37,000 hours to fabricate the puppets and masks. More than 232 puppets including rod puppets, shadow puppets and full-sized puppets of 25 species of animals are used in the show. The tallest animals in the show are the 18 foot exotic giraffes while the tiniest animal is the trick mouse of 5 inches.
