Where Is Buffalo?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

The city of Buffalo ranks second in terms of size in New York State and is also its biggest inland water port. This city was given the sobriquet of 'The Queen City of the Lakes' by Millard Fillmore. The heartbeat of the city is in its waterways. It is situated to the east of Lake Erie and at the head of the Niagara River. The lake has contributed largely to Buffalo's success as one of the country's chief inland ports. Also, the hydroelectric energy obtained by the Niagara Falls has spurred on a wide variety of industries in the city.

The people of buffalo pride themselves on being good neighbours and have excellent inter-group relationships and maintain a strong sense of loyalty to the city. The citizens have proved themselves by rebuilding the city two times after its suffered heavy damages due to fire.
