Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Calculating BMI is very easy. All you require is to consider your body mass and your height. Now divide your body weight with the square of your height. For imperial BMI divide your body weight that measure in pounds with your height that measures in inches. Don't forget to take the square of your height.

If your BMI is below eighteen than you're weight status is underweight. And if it is above twenty five you are over weight. Thus, if your body weight indicates that you are between eighteen and twenty five then you are normal. While for those whose BMI is over thirty must immediately take precautions as you are definitely obese and prone to heart risks.

Body mass indicator was developed by Adolphe Quelet thus it is also known as Quetelet Index. BMI formula is used worldwide to measure obesity.
