What Did People Think Of The Discovery Of Charles Darwin's Theory?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

I suppose you mean to ask how they felt about his book in 1859 wherein he published his theory.  Theories are not discovered, they are elucidated.

Some where impressed with the marvelous presentation.
Some where aghast at the implications.
Most were ignorant and had either no opinion or opinion based on misconceptions. Same as today.
