How we can use the predefined style?

Answer Question

In Adobe Photoshop we have different effects that can be used with text, shape or graphics. These effects include shadow, emboss, texture filling, gradient filling, outline and etc. These are also called the Layer Styles.

We can save the settings of different effects by a name and then can reuse these effects by just its name. To create a style, we must have an unlocked layer. Double click on the layer; a dialogue box will be opened. In this dialogue box we can see a list of effects at the left side. Clicking any effect will open its settings. Apply these settings according to the requirements. Click the Preview checkbox (which is in the right side) and we will be able to see the real time preview of the effects.

When the required style is achieved then we can press Ok to apply this style to the layer. We can also press the New Style button to save these settings for reuse in the future. Adobe Photoshop comes with some predefined layer style. To use these style click Window -> Show Style. The styles window will be shown and we can see some styles here. To use any style just click on it and the style will be applied. Any style, which we have saved will also be shown here.
