    Edinburgh is the second largest city of Scotland and also the capital of the country. Edinburgh is situated on the east of central lowland and one the south of Firth of Forth. It has a huge collection of Georgian and Medieval architecture like a number of stone tenements. Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful and the most dramatic cities in Europe.

    Edinburgh has been divided geographically into 5 areas out of which the central area and town is the City council of Edinburgh. The City Council area consists for urban as well as rural Edinburgh which constitutes about 30 square miles of the area. Edinburgh has been the capital of Scotland since the year 1437 and is home to the Scottish Parliament. The two districts recognised by UNESCO as World Heritage sites are Edinburgh Old Town and New Town.
