    Geographic Information systems are the systems that are used for collecting, storing, managing, analyzing and presenting data. This data is related to some location.

    Geography is something which is very important role in determining factors like boundary determination, choosing sites for different purposes, and helping studying the different features of land areas. One contribution that GIS has made to geography is that these systems integrate all the data that is related to geography based on spatial components.

    This helps in interpreting the data and studying the different patterns and trends. GIS provides maps, globes and charts which help in better understanding through visualization. When this data is put together in the form of charts and reports, it is easier to analyze it and make several decisions that were dependent on the geographic features.
