Relationships have to be worked at by both parties to make them work. Talking over problems and not arguing or bottling them up and avoiding the issues wont help one bit. Unfrequented love is the worst type of relationship It cant keep going even if you think you have enough love for both of you. If nothing is returned it's an empty vessel.

The problem is that we keep on bringing up each others past about his ex and about my ex. That's what makes us both get into arguments.
Everyone comes with baggage unless its their first relationship. My wife was with many men before I met her by her own admission. The thing is she is with me now and thats' what matters and i don't want to know what she got up to with the others or how I bear up to them.
You need to get in that mindset and dont say things like my ex never used to be like that find another way to get your point across if possible. The old saying the first rule of itianian driving whats behind you dosnt matter :)

Sweetie, you cannot MAKE a relationship happy any more than you can MAKE the sun rise and set. That is far too great a burden for anyone to put upon themselves or anyone else.
What you CAN do is search out a positive, healthy, happy environment that works for YOU with good people and find that which makes you happy. You are your own best advocate so be good to yourself in a good way and you will be a joy and a blessing to others as well. Don't let any bring you down.
