The north coast of Devon, England has a town known as Ilfracombe. It is a small seaside resort with traditional settings and a harbour surrounded by cliffs. There is a ferry service between Ilfracombe and Lundy Island though they are occasional in nature.

It is nestled snugly amongst the rugged cliffs and its charming natural harbour combined with the elegant Victorian architecture seen in Ilfracombe make it as popular today as it has been since the 1830s. People have resided in Ilfracombe since the Iron Age and it has an Anglo-Saxon name which means "Valley of the sons of Alfred". It has two distinct communities. They are the farming community and the fishing community. It was also an important port on the Bristol Channel in the yesteryears. Though it relies on agriculture and fishing for its economy nowadays tourism also contributes to a good extent. There are a lot of interesting things like the haunted manor house and the hill fort along with lots of charming walks bountiful with nature.
