    Lime Street is situated in Liverpool, England. It was made a street in 1790. Lime Street was named after William Harvey's lime kilns.  Lime Street station is the most important landmark in this place. The Liverpool station is the mainline railway station in England. It was opened in 1831 and then in 1856. It is found in the William Brown street conservation area. St George's Hall was opened in 1854 and is one of the other important sites in Liverpool.

    St George's Hall turned Liverpool from a provincial north of England town, to the second city of Empire. The beginning of the 20th century saw it turn into a Mecca for the new entertainment - the cinema. The Beatles recorded an album called 'Let It Be' which had a Liverpool folk song "Maggie Mae" and this street finds mention in that song. It is a part of the A5038.
