    Manage is a municipality in Belgium. It is located in the province of Hainaut. The province of Hainaut is located in the region of Wallonia. Manage covers a total surface area of approximately 1, 969 hectares. The population of Manage is 21, 869. It is located at a distance of about 25 kilometres to the northwest of Charleroi and at a distance of about six kilometres to the northeast of La Louviere. Since the year 1976, Manage is made up of four former municipalities, namely Manage, Bois-d'Haine, Fayt-lez-Manage and La Hestre. Bellecourt was incorporated into the erstwhile municipality of La Hestre on January 1, 1971.

    In the Middle Ages, Manage belonged to the Duchy of Brabant, while the villages of Fayt, Bois-d'Haine, La Hestre and Bellecourt were parts of the County of Hainaut. Manage was one of the municipalities that was sacked during the wars. Villages were frequently sacked during battles, especially in the 17th century.
