    There are several army museums in the UK where one can get to see a tank; some of the museums that could be mentioned in this regard are Imperial War Museum in London, Bovington Tank Museum in Dorset, The National Army Museum in Chelsea, London, The Imperial War Museum North in Trafford, Greater Manchester and Firepower- The Royal Artillery Museum.

    The Bovington Tank Museum established in 1916 during World War II times by the British War Office houses one of the largest collections of armored fighting vehicles in the UK; the vehicles on display come from various countries around the world with a total of almost 300 on display at present. The site is a training center for the British Army where the soldiers learn how to drive armored vehicles as well as carrying out maintenance and repair operations.

    Most of the tanks in the Bovington Museum are in working order with noteworthy ones being the British Mark V, the British Centurion, the amphibious DD tank, the American M60, the Russian T-72, German Tiger Tank and Panther Tank from World War II times among others.
