What Is A Promotion?

Answer Question

The dictionary definition is as follows: "the act of furthering the growth or development of something  ; especially : The furtherance of the acceptance and sale of merchandise through advertising, publicity, or discounting."

However, there are years of education that go into the specific hows/whys of promotion. Mostly, it's a great way to create buzz about a new brand or product, or get people re-interested in an existing brand or product. Usually your are "promoting" something, allocating resources to it that will hopefully pay off in the end.  There's an exhaustive list of ways to promote something. Word of mouth, discounts, social networking. And there are even more ways to promote an event instead of a product or person. One cheap and easy way that I've actually found to promote an event is through Custom Wristbands: Http://vip-wristbands.com/custom-wristbands.html (This site worked quite well) If you want to promote an event, you have to have wristbands in the first place for crowd control, and why not make it a custom wristband. With so many customizable options, you can put your company logo, pictures, text, etc on the band and some people even keep them as souvenirs. Most people think you have to go BIG to promote an event but something as small as customizing the wristbands will linger in people's minds.
