Where Is Good For Food In Gibraltar?

To enjoy the sunshine, the best eateries in Gibraltar are in the casemates square. This is a suntrap in the summer and there are plenty of restaurants and bars with plenty of space available. It is very busy and the service is slow, though some are better than others. The food varies; from pub meals to mussels or steak. The best is probably Little Rock in my opinion, in terms of food quality and service.

For a takeaway there are a variety of fast food places including fish and chips and burger king (with outdoor seating) in casemates, to smoothie kiosks and bars along Main Street and in casemates. There is an array of sandwich shops to be found, and plenty of benches and squares to sit and enjoy in the sun.

For somewhere up market on an evening, the best and most expensive restaurant is Thyme. This serves business lunches during the day and executive parties and romantic candlelit couples in the evening. The food is modern and delicious. Another favourite is Simons, opposite, which has a lovely ambience and is less expensive.
