What Should The Mother Of The Bride Wear At A Second Wedding?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The Mother of the bride typically does not wear white, off-white, champagne, black, red.  One word of caution...if the bride is wearing a color, you do not want your outfit in the same color.  Your daughter may have a color in mind that she would like for you to wear based on her color choices for the wedding itself.  As far as the length of the dress - that is a decision based on what the bride is wearing.  If she is wearing a floor length, then that would be appropriate for you.  If the bride will be wearing tea length, that should be your choice.  If the bride is wearing a simple suit...once again, that is what you should be looking for.  Make you color choice and dress length as early as possible.  The Mother of the Groom is not supposed to wear the same color you choose.  Her dress length is typically (not always) based on the length of dress you choose.  It would not be fair to make her wait too long for you to make your decision.
