The European Union is a tariff ally. Every member country has a legal obligation to follow a public economic policy. The CET is concerned with importing industrial products in the European Union. After completing a series of formalities and paying the tariff, the import of industrial products will be allowed to any country in the European Union, without any other import tax. These kinds of products are known as 'free wares'. Of course, the businesses will still need to pay their national taxes, increment tax for example, but no matter where the products come from, each EU country receives exactly the same treatment. In that way, the privileges of each alliance country have been protected.
From 1st Jan. 1993, the European Union abolished all barriers between all its allied countries. To run a corporation in Europe is getting simpler and simpler, and that is the influence of the CET on Europe.
