Why Dos My Fuel Pump Injection Fuse Keep Blowing In My 1989 Buick Riviera?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Many older fuel pumps, as they age, will draw more and more electrical current when they are running. After a while the fues will blow.  In a way this is a great way to tell that a fuel pump is failing.

So your fuel pump may be on its way out and will need to be replaced soon. But before you go and spend good money on a new fuel pump try and check the wiring that goes to the pump, there could be a problem there.
