    There are a number of hotels in the UK which have a record of visitors dating many years back and as such offer excellent service to the tourist who wants to experience life as it was in the good old days the best example being Claridge's founded in 1812 and rebuilt in 1898.

    Britain's sea faring tradition has contributed in no small way to the establishment of hotels along the coastal areas; the Old Ship a hotel in Brighton being a case in point.
    In fact vintage UK hotels have got better with age and at present are popular with a number of tourists. Brown's hotel is one of London's oldest established way back in 1837 where the ambiance transports one to the Victorian era, an ideal place to have tea.

    Most hotels in this class are excellent places combining traditional and the modern and make for a satisfactory experience at affordable rates. Many historic cities like Cambridge, where the famous Royal Cambridge Hotel is located, in the UK house a few hotels that have a long tradition of hospitality and are worth checking out.
