Is It Legal To Have A Pet Rattlesnake In Arizona?

This Question Needs Answering:

In Arizona, do I need a permit to have a rattlesnake, or can I just go out and buy or catch one? I have been wanting a dangerous and wild animal for a while and I think a rattlesnake is right for me. Also I have studied, read, and, learned all about these animals and would be willing to go and get a permit.

It is illegal to have certain animals (ie.rattlesnakes) as pets in Arizona... You can call your local fish and game office for a list of restricted wildlife... azgfd.gov My guess is they only give special permits for keeping rattlesnakes in cases of research and education.. But it can't hurt to call and ask.
